TEACHING EXPERIENCE

During my time in the classroom, I taught grades 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6, all at an elementary level. I've taught in a traditional public school, a charter school with an entrepreneurial focus, and a year-round public school.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I teach with a student-centered approach. I love having students work collaboratively on projects, with hands-on experiments, research, and more. Every lesson should have an engagement piece that hooks students, leaving them wanting more.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I graduated from the University of Utah with a degree in elementary education in 2011. I am certified to teach K-8.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I believe that the teacher is the fuel that ignites the learning effect within students. With the right resources to inspire and engage your students, they are capable of being motivated, high achievers in the classroom. My goal is to create high-quality, low-prep content and resources for upper elementary teachers.

I am from a small town outside of Scranton, Pennsylvania, and moved to Salt Lake City, Utah in 2005 to attend the University of Utah. After graduating from the U, I started teaching in Salt Lake City. In 2016, I moved to Raleigh, North Carolina, where I currently live today with my husband and our daughter.
