After leaving college, I returned home and taught first grade for two years. When I moved to anther town, I ended up getting a job in Kindergarten. I was terrified at first because my internship was in first grade. I ended up LOVING it and stayed for five years. Now I'm back in first grade and I never thought I would love it this much!
There has never been a year when one of my students didn't tell me I was crazy! I love to find innovative ways to teach the new common core standards through games and fun!
Nominated for teacher of the year in 2010. Even though I didn't win, it was super cool to be nominated!
I graduated from THE University of Florida in 2005 with my Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education. Go Gators!
I always knew I wanted to be a teacher. In fourth grade a wrote a journal entry saying how I wanted to be a teacher. I used to MAKE my best friend play teacher with me - she's now an accountant!
