I am in my 33rd year of teaching and have taught in grades 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6. I have also served as an elementary writing coach and an instructional coach. I currently teach ELA to 5th-grade students in a public, Title I school. In addition to teaching, I serve as an educational consultant to assist teachers in implementing writing instruction and school-wide writing programs for several universities in my former home state of Alabama, but I am looking forward to expanding my consulting in my new home state, Tennessee.
Progressive, literature-based (non-textbook) style, with lots of technology integration!
Recipient of several grants and a four-time Teacher of the Year awardee.
B.S. in Elementary Education from University of New Mexico; M.Ed. in Educational Administration and Leadership from University of South Alabama; and 51 credit hours toward an Ed.D. in Educational Technology from Northcentral University.
I am a *real* teacher, posting *real* products I use in my own classroom, so always feel free to send suggestions or recommendations, because making my resources better makes ME better! =) Happy teaching, tribe!
