This webquest is a great way to have your middle school students learn about ratios and proportions independently or in groups. The Winter Olympics theme is current and fun, and helps students see the connection between math skills and real life. Students are given 8 facts to look up (exact phrases to type into Google are provided). They put the facts into ratio form, and then answer a question by creating and solving a proportion. Answer key is included.
