The main use of apostrophes is to show ownership (e.g. 'Charlie is Jenny’s cat' means the cat named Charlie belongs to Jenny.) For some reason, the apostrophe, and it’s use, tend to be difficult for students to grasp. So, I created a lesson using jelly beans as actual apostrophes. After all, what better way to learn using the much-loved jelly bean? Included within this lesson: directions, rules mini poster, and answer key.
