Here is my "schtick:" Start with an Advance Organizer. For example, I would give each student a country to represent before we learn about Nuclear Proliferation: USA, China, Israel, Pakistan, India, UK, France, Russia, etc We would then learn about Nuclear Proliferation using a power point and guided notes. Students can ask questions as a representative of their country (right hand up), or as a representative of their own brain (left hand up) When we get to the present, we have a mock UN style debate regarding current Nuclear Proliferation topics, where students represent their assigned country.

I joined TpT in May 2015 I was the Advisor for the South Kingstown HS Model UN program. We hosted a MUN conference for 19 years. In the early 2000s, we annually hosted the largest one-day, HS MUN conference in New England: approximately 400 students from 30 schools; included HS, Middle School and College level committees. I'm a big fan of Costa Rica.
