I am currently a 2nd grade teacher, teaching all subjects. I was formerly a ELAR/SS 6th grade teacher. I also have classroom experience with 1st-6th grade.
Standing on tables, singing the directions, laughing until my tummy hurts, callbacks on callbacks... these are just a few of the things I would say about my teaching style. I am an optimist, and believe there is good in EVERY child.

Graduate from Mansfield Summit High School and Bachelors in interdisciplinary studies from Texas A&M University.
My teacher journey started very early. My mom homeschooled me during my early elementary years (K-2). During this time, I fell in love with reading, creating math worksheets, playing teacher, and creating lap-book science projects. Then in third grade, I went to private school, and on to public school for 4-7th grade. My love for learning continued to grow as I transitioned back to private school for two years. For college purposes, with the intent to go to Texas A&M and graduate with an education degree, I moved back to public school to earn college credit. I even joined my school's Academic Decathlon team and my heart burst with more opportunities to learn. Long story short, I am a huge nerd. I realize our student's are very different, with different opportunities, and may not have a love for learning... YET. It is my goal to create products that are user friendly, HELPFUL and ALIGNED to the current TEKS/standards. All children deserve to feel empowered and engaged in their own learning.
