Obviously Math's Great LLC

I was a high school mathematics teacher for 14 years and a college adjunct professor at a local university for 9 years. Today, I own and run a math tutoring business. All of these experiences have provided me much insight into the needs of teachers in various grade levels as well as the needs of our diverse student body.

I am a very passionate teacher who strives to do my best for each of my students. I tell all of my students that I love to answer their questions and they should never be afraid to ask. No question is ever a "dumb" question. I help create a safe environment for students to ask those questions. This is how they will develop a deeper understanding of the math they are learning which leads to their success in mathematics. My learning resources are created to be tiered practice for students so that they can build their math skills and confidences. Math confidence not only helps them in the math classroom but also leads to students to be more confident in themselves overall. I witness this everyday!

Teaching is my second life career. My first career was in graphic design, so I like to mix both worlds when creating my teaching material. I earned an Associates Degree in Secondary Education, Bachelor's Degrees in both Secondary Education and Mathematics, a Master's Degree in Mathematics, and a Supervisor's Certificate.

I am married and have four children. I love sea turtles. I had the opportunity to swim with sea turtles in Hawaii. It was an experience that I will never forget. My children are all grow and after our children moved away, my husband and I moved in Milton, Florida in the Florida Panhandle. It is beautiful here. I have loved sea turtles ever since I was a very young student who researched sea turtles for a school project. (The teacher who gave me this project has positively influenced my entire life). In Florida, there are sea turtles everywhere. I am a member of a local Sea Turtle Conservation Center in Navarre, FL. Part of the proceeds from my TpT sales goes to them.
