Use this interactive activity to engage students with the history of Japanese American internment during WWII. Students will view a diverse set of artifacts, including paintings, a variety of oral history interview transcripts, image sets, letters from Japanese Americans held in internment camps, and newspaper coverage of internment. As they go, students will answer a few questions for each primary source--analyzing the history of discriminatory treatment toward Japanese Americans in the 1940s.
