Wonderful document for recording family facts and memories. This is a culture assignment that will be treasured for who knows how long. I hand out as extra credit, but I strongly encourage their use... where else will this information ever be captured? Students just ask questions of parents and grandparents. Even better, have them video the conversation.

Respect Presentation
This presentation teaches students about the need for respect toward others and requires them to spend some time thinking and writing about what respect means and whether they consider themselves respectful.
To be honest, I did this lesson with my 9th graders after they were extremely disrespectful to my substitute! Therefore, if you want to use it only for character education (and not discipline), you may want to lessen the amount students have to write at the end!
