Fifty Nifty United States Lyrics PowerPoint
I created this slideshow (in .pptx format) for my students to help them learn the lyrics to the song "Fifty Nifty United States" (originally from School House Rock, found in many general music curricula, such as Making Music by Silver-Burdett; YouTube recordings can be found as well, although these are copyrighted). It is a great song to include in patriotic performances. And an added bonus, it is CROSS-CURRICULAR, as it teaches the 50 state names in alphabetical order!!!!

The tunes of some familiar childhood songs were used in creating these catchy songs that have helped my own students learn the names and locations of all 50 states in their regions.
There are five songs for each of the following regions – northeast, southeast, southwest, midwest, and west.
A blank map and a labeled map are both included. They can be used as a study tool as well as a template for creating tests and quizzes.

Students will listen to the song I've Been Everywhere" by Johnny Cash while looking at a copy of the lyrics with locations. The Roman Gods Rap
These lyrics are all about the gods of Ancient Rome. The lyrics can be performed to many different beats. Just make sure to really emphasize the "Peace" part in the last line.
