Geography Bee Course
This geography bee course is a program designed to prepare students for the National Geographic geography bee. It has a scope and sequence of topics and maps to master. The difficulty levels flow from beginner to medium to advanced to expert. Each topic has a link to a video, game, or other resource that can be used to master that topic. . .This resource originated as an afterschool club in the computer lab, but it could be applied to a variety of settings.

This is a proposal that you can use to create a proposal to present to a committee or board for the teaching of a course in local history. It is easily adaptable for your community, uses primary and secondary sources, national and state park services, and museums, and is highly cross-curricular and engaging.

Famous Mathematician Project (Computer Based Activity)
Students research mathematicians who have made famous and well known mathematical discoveries that have led to the mathematics they learn today. Some of the mathematicians are known by name, while others are known by their work. This project targets Common Core Technology Standards, mainly for grades 6-8. Students will also practice computer research methods, PowerPoint creation, proper citations and referencing, as well as correct English grammar and punctuation.

FTS Independent History Unit - Historical Background for Students
Forging the Sword Independent History Unit is based on the Forging the Sword curriculum. It is designed to be used as an independent-study unit for 4th-8th grade students, requiring minimal adult assistance.
