Winter Translate from English to American Sign Language
Students learning American Sign Language have a chance to translate five English sentences into how they would sign in American Sign Language.Of course, there is not one way to translate, but the key offers one way to share out with students. The GLOSS style is the basic pattern used for a beginning ASL class. This is a great activity for independent work. This could also be used for homework.

American Sign Language Contrastive Structure Which is Your Favorite Season
Students (after instructional lessons and modeling) can be given this for a "homework". The idea is that students will work on a GLOSS, using contrastive structure in ASL to bring back to class and share out expressively signing with a partner.
