Punctuation Poster - Pirate Theme

This is an adorable punctuation reference page for young students. It gives a definition of periods, question marks, quotation marks, commas, exclamation points, and apostrophes, along with an example of each. 'Full Stop' is used in place of period for my Australian friends. This page is great to help young children learn to use the correct punctuation in their daily writing. I print enough copies for the entire class in color. I then put the reference page into a sheet protector that goes into

They do, however, encourage students to learn structural and phonetic spelling patterns by giving them opportunities to recall and write the words in a variety of contextual and noncontextual setti

Animal Types Outline

This is a printable packet for students to use during an animals unit. There is a section for each animal type (mammals, reptiles, amphibians, birds, fish, and insects), and the students fill in sentences with facts about each animal group. The way I usually use the activity is as a way to introduce each animal group, and then as a study guide before test time. It could be used in one or both of those ways or as an individual or group assignment.
