EDITABLE Event and Description Vertical Timeline
This blank vertical timeline as a graphic organizer for ANY social studies topic in which students are trying to place events in chronological order. There is also space for students to write a short descriptive summary of each event.
This outline can also be used as an assessment tool in which students are required to order and list events in chronological order.

A great way to keep up on current agricultural news- students will use this article posted by Delaware Online: Delaware Online - Spotted Lanternfly to read and learn about how the Spotted Lanternfly is now in Northern Delaware. Students will use their graphic organizer to identify concerns with a growing Lanternfly population, read about how to correctly identify a Spotted Lanternfly and more. This year we wrote our research papers in a different form. We made a "dossier." Using Microsoft Publisher or a similar software, we wrote the same paper but it looked different. I found that by allowing them the use of graphics, design, illustration and color, I had better papers and a higher number of students turned in the paper.
