This is a full set of lesson plans for general music classrooms, appropriate for Kindergarten through Second Grade. It also includes classroom management tools I've used successfully and each lesson is carefully sequenced to ensure 'rote before note' philosophy.
Please note - there are no recordings or lyric sheets provided. These lessons are meant for trained music educators.

Note Values and Rhythm Composition Basics
This SMART Notebook file is an excellent way engage students in learning note values and composing basic rhythm compositions. The color-coded boxes support student understanding and have notes and rests that equal the same amount of beats. The material presented on page 2 is intended for direct instruction on note values. This information will only work when teaching time signatures with a 4 on the bottom (2/4, 3/4. 4/4, 5/4, etc.) On page 3 and 4 there are pull tabs with directions for use.
