The color-coded boxes support student understanding and have notes and rests that equal the same amount of beats. The material presented on page 2 is intended for direct instruction on note values. This information will only work when teaching time signatures with a 4 on the bottom (2/4, 3/4. 4/4, 5/4, etc.) On page 3 and 4 there are pull tabs with directions for use.
