By this point, students should have the basics of their experiment underway-- their independent, control, and dependent variables.
We will then focus on writing good procedures by trying to follow directions that clearly do not work! After a jigsaw activity, students will come up with the rationale for writing a good procedure, fix poorly written procedures, and come up with rules for writing good procedures. Finally, students (in teams of 2-3) will begin writing their own. If time, students w
